Why You Need To Backup Your WordPress Blog And Database
When running any website, you want to do everything you can protect it.
To start protecting your WordPress website, you should first make a backup of your WordPress database and your essential files (uploads, plugins, themes, etc.).
And do backups regularly in case of an emergency. If you make changes to your site frequently, I suggest doing backups daily or weekly.
Without a current backup, you’re setting yourself up for potential website doom and failure. I shudder to think what could happen to your blog or website without one.
Why do I need a backup of my WordPress site? Let me give you some scenarios as to why you should have a backup…
Everything will be okay… If you’ve made a backup of your WordPress database and your essential files. With your backup, you’ll be able to restore your website.
If you haven’t backed up your website, please do it now! I can’t stress this enough. Without a current backup, you’d need to start all over. You’d lose all your hard work. You can’t afford to skip making a backup. You wouldn’t want to recreate your site all over again.
